Project Title

“Inclusive Development Initiative for disabled individuals and Mentally Challenged Children”

Project Brief

Our project aims to empower disabled individuals and mentally challenged children by providing comprehensive support services. For disabled individuals, we offer rehabilitation, vocational training, medical and emotional assistance, and accommodation to enhance their independence and quality of life. Additionally, we will be operating a specialized school for mentally challenged children, providing them with tailored education and support services to promote their cognitive, social, and emotional development.

Rationale of the Project

The project is based on the understanding that disabled individuals and mentally challenged children face significant barriers in accessing essential services, education, and opportunities for personal growth and development. By providing rehabilitation, vocational training, medical and emotional assistance, and accommodation to disabled individuals, and education to mentally challenged children, the project aims to
1. Address the social and economic exclusion of disabled individuals and mentally challenged children
2. Promote their rights and dignity as equal members of society
3. Enhance their quality of life and opportunities for personal growth and development
4. Support their inclusion and participation in society

The project is grounded in the principles of inclusivity, accessibility, and social justice, recognizing the inherent value and worth of every individual, regardless of their abilities or disabilities. By providing targeted support services, the project seeks to empower disabled individuals and mentally challenged children to reach their full potential and live fulfilling lives.

Objectives of Project

For Disabled Individuals

1. Improve physical and mental well-being through rehabilitation and medical assistance
2. Enhance employability and independence through vocational training
3. Provide emotional support and counseling to promote mental health and well-being
4. Offer safe and supportive accommodation to ensure a stable living environment

For Mentally Challenged Children

1. Provide access to quality education tailored to their needs

4. Support their inclusion and participation in society

Current requirements of trust

Trust’s immediate requirements and expenses

  1. Solar Panel Installation (415V) – To provide clean and efficient electricity in the hostel – Cost of Installation- 2,10,000/-
  2. RO Water Purifier – The borewell water contains high levels of salts, making it essential to install an RO water purifier to provide clean drinking water to students, disabled individuals, and senior citizens residing in the hostel- Cost of Installation– 25,000/-
  3. Borewell Digging (400ft) & Submersible Motor- Cost of Operation- 1,10,000/-
  4. Laptop (5 nos.) and Computer (1 nos.) for needy individuals and for hostel office use – 3,00,000/-
  5. 1st and 2nd floor CCTV installation- 2,90,000/-
  6. Gravelization/Metaling of the private road connecting Nandani village to the trust- The road is about 500-meter in length and 12 foot in width is in a critical condition, causing difficulties for divyang/disabled individuals visiting the institution, making its repair urgently necessary. – Cost of repairs- 2,79,000/-
  7. Constructing a shed in front of hostel, constructing concrete road in front of trust, Paving block and concrete work around hostel building, Construction of sanitary water soak pit- Total cost of construction work- 5,24,790/-
  8. Yearly distribution of school uniforms, necessary school equipment for 150 students in nearby villages- Yearly cost- 3,00,000/-
  9. Oil painting work of Ground, 1st, 2nd floor & Lift room- Total cost- 15,00,000/-
  10. Building and Lift Maintenance expenses- Cost- 1,50,000/-
  11. Electrical fitting work for 2nd floor and lift- Total cost- 1,45,000/-
  12. Providing electrical bikes (5nos) to disabled and needy individuals– Cost- 6,00,000/-
  13. EECO van required for Outreach and Organizational Activities- To extend the benefits of the institution’s services to needy disabled children, individuals, and senior citizens residing in villages outside the trust’s immediate area, as well as for other institutional activities, an Eeco van is required. – Cost (As per quotation)- 8,12,500/-
  14. 300 Sewing machines for disabled individuals and their families to start their own business and sustain themselves. Total Cost- 300*7800=23,40,000/-
  15. 300 Flour Mills for disabled individuals and their families to start their means of earning and become self-sufficient. Total Cost- 300*10500=31,50,000

Requirements for School for mentally challenged children

  1. Benches, Notebooks, Academic Books, Tables, Chairs, Blackboard, Cupboard and other necessary equipment required for school- Cost- 1,50,000/-
  2. Computer Lab and Digital Class rooms for students- 1,30,000/-
  3. 27-seater school bus for the transportation of students- Cost (As per quotation)- 26,48,346/-
  4. Expenses for school trips, Sports equipment, Exercise equipment, exam fee, gatherings and other school events etc.- Cost- 1,90,000/-

Requirements for Vocational Training Center

  1. File Making Machine- The trust plans to give file making training to disabled and needy individuals, so that they can get career building skills to make themselves self-sufficient and self-reliant. – Cost of machinery (as per quotation)- 7,00,000/-
  2. Provision of Mobility Aids for Disabled Individuals in the vocational training center- To facilitate easy movement for disabled individuals and children at the Vocational Training Center, hostel, and workplace, provision of mobility aids such as wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, etc. is necessary- Cost- 10 Wheelchairs=81,000/-, 10 Walker= 20,000/-, 10 Crutches= 20,000/-    Total cost- 1,21,000/-
