The trust has been independently operating a hostel for boys and girls with disabilities since June 15, 2010 in Jaysingpur, Kolhapur.
In rural areas like ours, individuals with disabilities do not have access to proper medical and rehabilitation treatment. The lack of education and awareness among families in these villages means they are often unaware of the government assistance available to them. Additionally, the remote location of these villages presents transportation challenges and adds to the difficulties faced by these individuals. Our organisation also organises numerous medical check-up camps and collaborates with the district health office to ensure that children receive essential vaccinations.
The trust operates a school bus, rented to facilitate transportation for children and students with disabilities to and from their homes and school. This service is offered completely free of charge. Recognising that there are no nearby hostels or residential facilities available for physically disabled students in the local area, we decided to provide this essential service to students from the community.
